About Us

Doug Peterson, DDS

Dr. Peterson earned his DDS at University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1995 after completing undergraduate studies at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. Since then, he has pursued postgraduate education, earning well beyond the state's required number of continuing education credits each year. Dr. Peterson has also taken advanced courses in aesthetic restorative dentistry including Lumineers and Invisalign orthodontics.

After practicing for the US Public Health Service in Washington and Rhode Island for over 10 years, Dr. Peterson returned to New Jersey and acquired the practice of Dr Albert Sacco in 2010. Now called Little Silver Dental Care, he serves patients of all ages with contemporary family and cosmetic dentistry. His favorite professional experience comes when a fearful patient overcomes his or her anxiety and embraces comfortable, rewarding dentistry.

Originally from Nutley, New Jersey, Dr. Peterson is married and has two children, a son and daughter. They currently reside in Oceanport. When he isn't creating sensational smiles, he enjoys fishing, painting, computer graphics, photography, sports, cooking and general family activities.
